Specialized Hormonal, Growth & Metabolic Care for Children and Adolescents

Hormones influence how fast a child grows, when puberty begins, energy, mood, metabolism and bone strength. When something feels off, it is natural to worry. Dr. Arti Yadav offers evidence-based endocrine care in a warm, child-friendly environment.

🌱

Growth Disorders

When your child seems smaller — or growing faster — than peers

  • Child shorter than most children of the same age
  • No regular growth spurts or slow height gain
  • Concern about being too tall or growing too quickly
  • Growth hormone evaluation and long-term height monitoring

Helping children reach their natural growth potential with careful evaluation and follow-up.

Puberty & Adolescent Hormonal Concerns

For bodies that start changing too early, too late, or in unexpected ways

  • Signs of puberty before age 8 in girls or 9 in boys
  • No signs of puberty by expected age
  • Irregular or concerning periods in adolescent girls
  • Puberty that seems stalled or out of sync

Supporting both the physical and emotional side of growing up.

🦋

Thyroid Disorders in Children

When energy, weight, school focus, or growth seems off

  • Tiredness, sluggishness, constipation or poor school focus
  • Difficulty gaining or losing weight despite usual eating
  • Visible swelling in the neck or goiter
  • Congenital hypothyroidism and childhood thyroid disease

Timely thyroid care can improve growth, learning, energy and mood.

💉

Childhood Diabetes & Blood Sugar Issues

Helping your child live confidently — not just manage a condition

  • Frequent thirst, urination, bedwetting or unexplained weight loss
  • Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes care
  • Insulin pumps, sensors and practical daily management
  • Episodes of shakiness, sweating, fainting or low sugar

Simplifying diabetes care so your child can continue to learn, play and grow.

⚖️

Childhood Obesity & Metabolic Health

When weight may be linked with hormones, insulin resistance or metabolism

  • Rapid or unexplained weight gain despite healthy efforts
  • Dark velvety patches on neck or armpits
  • Irregular periods, acne or possible PCOS in adolescents
  • Family history of diabetes or metabolic syndrome

Looking beyond calories to identify medical, hormonal and lifestyle contributors.

🧬

Adrenal, CAH & DSD Care

For rare or complex conditions that need super-specialty expertise

  • Congenital adrenal hyperplasia or adrenal hormone disorders
  • Salt-wasting symptoms or unusual genital development
  • Disorders of sex development requiring sensitive evaluation
  • Unexplained fatigue, low blood pressure or skin darkening

Confidential, respectful and evidence-based care for complex endocrine conditions.

🦴

Bone, Calcium & Vitamin Disorders

When bones break too easily or legs bend unusually

  • Bowlegs, knock-knees or delayed walking
  • Frequent fractures after minor falls
  • Vitamin D deficiency not improving with routine care
  • Muscle cramps, tingling or seizures related to calcium imbalance

Strong bones begin with the right hormone, calcium and vitamin balance.

🧠

Pituitary & Rare Hormonal Conditions

For symptoms that do not fit a simple explanation

  • Extreme thirst and passing very large amounts of urine
  • Very slow growth despite normal nutrition and thyroid status
  • Multiple hormone deficiencies or unusual developmental concerns
  • Small penis, undescended testes or delayed puberty concerns

Academic-level evaluation delivered with the warmth of pediatric care.

Before Parent Consult FAQ

Questions Parents Commonly Ask

When should I worry about my child’s height?

Consider specialist advice if your child is much shorter than peers, is below the expected family height range, is crossing growth percentiles downward, or growth velocity appears slow over months. Growth charts and serial measurements are more useful than one isolated height reading.

Is early puberty always abnormal?

Not always, but breast development before 8 years in girls or testicular enlargement before 9 years in boys should be assessed. Early evaluation helps distinguish normal variants from progressive puberty needing treatment.

Can thyroid problems affect growth and school performance?

Yes. Thyroid hormone imbalance can affect height gain, weight, energy, bowel habits, concentration, mood and puberty. Children need pediatric-specific interpretation and dosing.

What are warning signs of diabetes in a child?

Frequent urination, increased thirst, new bedwetting, unexplained weight loss, tiredness or vomiting may suggest high blood sugar and should be assessed promptly.

Is childhood obesity only due to overeating?

No. Nutrition and activity matter, but sleep, family history, insulin resistance, puberty, medications and rare endocrine/genetic causes may contribute. Evaluation should be respectful and non-judgmental.

What should we bring for the first visit?

Bring previous height/weight records, growth chart if available, birth history, medicines, previous lab reports, imaging, discharge summaries and family height details.
